December, 2009 Reality television show America's Next Top Model has hit Queenstown, with models and crew spotted in Fernhill and Glenorchy.Glenorchy Lodge bar worker Jeana Breen said she and a friend saw host Tyra Banks walking on Argyle St. Glenorchy Cafe barista Stephanie Yeo said models were seen getting off a bus on Mull St about 12pm. "A customer saw them piling out of a van here. Apparently they were wearing high heels, which is quite funny in Glenorchy." Cast and crew were staying at the Heritage Hotel in Fernhill, according to road workers undertaking works on Fernhill Rd. Two buses and people with umbrellas shielded the hotel entrance from view yesterday morning as the models departed for a shoot, the men said. A mini-bus with curtains across the windows drove away from the hotel. Contestants in New Zealand's Next Top Model stayed at the Heritage Hotel when the show filmed in Queenstown this year.
