December, 2011 A new lifestyle and adventure clothing and footwear store opened in Queenstown Mall this month.The new Merrell and Patagonia lifestyle and adventure clothing and footwear store, Let's Get Outside, is being opened by pioneering freestyle skier Hamish Cochran and his wife Jenny. Together they established wholesale distributing company Nevada Sport in 1978, with the aim of introducing highly technical products for the New Zealand market. Nevada Sport is the longest serving distributor for the popular US Merrell brand worldwide and three years ago it became the first distributor worldwide for Patagonia. Mr Cochran made a name for himself in the 1970's as a pioneering freestyle skier and has an intense passion for the outdoors. He said Queenstown was the perfect location for the store and there was plenty of product on offer that would not have been seen locally before.
