The 4.5-star Queenstown hotels owned by Clearmont Group and work started on the four-storey Armadillo building in February this year. Sudima chief operating officer Les Morgan says theyre forging ahead with the planning opening of the new Queenstown hotel in December 2021. Although the tourism industry faces challenges in the short-to- mid-term future, its vital that key tourism infrastructure projects go ahead and fresh thinking is adopted, says Les. We have faith that the market will recover and in our talented team to make this a success. Naylor Loves Central Otago director Greg Boland says in the next few weeks herell be up to 30 workers on site every day. In three or four months that would expand to about 150 staff and tradies on site. Were grateful to be working with a very progressive client who is maintaining his vision, and a tenant committed to the long-term market. Source: Mountain Scene
