March, 2022 Two months after opening the doors, Pacific Radiology Otago-Southlandmanager Paul Morrison says hes stoked at the response to the new purpose-built radiology centre at Kawarau Park. Built beside the new Southern Cross surgical hospital, which also opened in January, Morrison says the new Queenstown facility (pictured) aligns with the business commitment to supporting local communities. Its really about locals supporting locals. Weve always been well supported by our local Queenstown-Lakes referring healthcare professionals. Expanding our services to not only meet demand for increased local healthcare services, but also support the regions economy through a large-scale development project, was an excellent opportunity for Pacific Radiology to support a great community. The opening of the specialist radiology centre has also increased the breadth of local expertise, with specialists Dr Josie Parker (breast radiology), Dr Mike McKewen (musculoskeletal radiology) and Dr Gabriel Lau (body CT/MRI vascular and oncology) working onsite and living locally. Services available at Kawarau Park include MRI, CT, breast imaging, ultrasound, X-ray and specialised interventional services, like musculoskeletal injections. Source: Mountain Scene
